September at the Vineyard, The Harvest Begins!

September has been a big month for us here at Maud Heath Vineyard, and we’re so excited to share what’s been going on.

First Harvest, What A Fantastic Start!

On 11th September, we kicked off our 2025 grape harvest with a brilliant day in the vineyard. We brought in 5.5 tonnesof Bacchus and Pinot Précoce grapes and there were absolutely fabulous! It was a beautiful day, full of energy and hard work, and we couldn’t have asked for a better start to the season.

Second Harvest, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier

Just over a week later, on 22nd September, we were back at it for our second harvest, this time picking Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. Another 5 tonnes of grapes safely in, it’s been incredibly rewarding to see the fruits of our labour, quite literally, being gathered.

Behind the scenes, Bert, Alex and the team has been working tirelessly to make sure the vineyard is in top condition, strimming everything back, clearing weeds and thistles, and keeping everything looking its best. A huge thank you to Bert, Alex and the team for all the hours and care they put in! And a big thank you to Jago, Mal and Milos this summer!

One More Harvest to Go

We’ve got one more harvest coming up in the second week of October, and it could quite possibly be our last for the season. The whole team has worked incredibly hard all year to make sure our grapes are of the best possible quality, and we’re really excited to see how the wines turn out. Watch this space!

Autumn & Christmas Events – Come and See Us!

We’re also getting into the swing of the autumn and festive season and have some lovely events lined up:

• Autumn Fair at The Corn Exchange – Friday 3rd October Come and see us there, we’d love to catch up and share a glass (or bottle!) of something special.

• Tytherton Christmas Fair

• Bremhill Christmas Fair

• Christmas Festival of Lights

We’ll be there with our wines, gift boxes, and plenty of festive cheer, perfect for early Christmas shopping or just treating yourself.
