A Sparkling Day at the Great Bristol Wine Fest 🍷

We’re still buzzing from an incredible day at The Great Bristol Wine Fest this past weekend!

Held at the vibrant Paintworks venue in Bristol and hosted by none other than Oz Clarke and Susy Atkins of the Three Wine Men, the festival was a celebration of all things wine — and we were honoured to be part of it.

🌿 A Taste of Wiltshire

We brought along our favourites; the Tytherton Red, our crisp Bacchus, the crowd pleasing Sparkling Pinot Noir Rose, the dark horse Marden Valley Red and of course, our star of the day — the Chardonnay 2018. This particular vintage has quietly matured into something really special, and it clearly struck a chord with festival-goers (and us!).

But the highlight of our day? A moment we’ll be talking about for a while — Oz Clarke’s reaction to our Chardonnay:

“Honestly! I didn't know they could make Chardonnay this delicious in Wiltshire — and it's nearly 7 years old! Beautifully balanced between crunchy apple fruit and mellow croissant crust.”— Oz Clarke, Three Wine Men

To hear that from someone with Oz’s experience and palate means the world to our small team, who have hand-planted and nurtured every vine across our six acres (soon to be 12 acres) here in Bremhill.

🍇 A Warm Welcome and Curious Conversations

The crowd in Bristol was brilliant — curious, warm, and (sort of) open to exploring our English wines. We loved chatting with everyone who stopped by, sharing not just our wines, but our story, our soil, and the little quirks that make Maud Heath what it is.

Quite a few people approached our stand with that classic “English wine, really?” eyebrow raise — but one sip in, and their expressions flipped to “Wait... this is actually amazing!” Always our favourite moment of any tasting!

With this, we must give a shout out to TyneTipples for reppin' the Marden Valley; and bringing the people in!

Thank you to everyone who came, tasted, chatted, purchased and supported. And a big thank you to the team at Three Wine Men for such a fantastic event.
